I was born and raised in Sonoma County, California. I studied International Studies and African Studies at Yale and worked as a USAID contractor in East Africa and DC. While I enjoyed international work, I was ready to try something new and get back to my wine roots. So I got my MA in Food Systems from NYU and was like “I want to open a natural wine bar.” And so I did. I loves all things music and books, and my husband too.

I’m a first generation American who studied Baking and Pastry at the Culinary Institute of America, and I never thought the CIA would open up a whole new world of wine. After working in Napa, New York, and Boston, DC was the next city calling my name. I have earned my Advanced Level from the Wine and Spirit Education Trust and the Introductory Certificate from the Court of Master Sommeliers. I love all the sweet things, jigsaw puzzles, and lists.
